This area is equipped with instrumentation for the small- or large-scale purification of a selected (metallo)biomolecule. Researchers are able to bring in their own source material or use the existing UGa Fermentation Plant for microbial growth and harvesting. Large-scale initial fractionation of the biological material is possible with various centrifugation and chromatographic techniques and large-, medium-, and small-scale chromatographic instrumentation is available for complete purification of the (metallo)biomolecule.
